Yungblud came to The Toyota Oakdale Theater in Connecticut with special guests, The Regrettes and Sophie Powers on July 1, 2023. David Harris for Sound Rebel Magazine was front and center for all the action.

Sophie Powers was first up and made quite the impression in her young career. She and the band sounded great and by the time she sang her debut single NOSEBLEED and Bathroom Floor the crowd was right there with her.

By the time The Regrettes took over the crowd was definitely ready for more. The Regrettes did not disappoint. Their set flowed seamlessly and the crowd was there for the ride. Playing hits such as Barely on My Mind, Pumpkin and their hit cover by Robyn Dancing on My Own. They even ended the show with Lydia stepping back from vocals and guitar to showcase her drumming ability.

If you’ve never seen Yungblud let me explain. You without a doubt get one of the most energetic shows from start to finish that you will ever see. Yungblud is a true entertainer with the talent to back it up.

Yungblud has the crowd in the palm of his hand. They bounce to the beat, sing along to every word of every song. Yungblud’s set was deep from start to finish which included, The Funeral, parents, fleabag, and fan choice California. The set led to Kill Somebody, I Think I’m OKAY (Machine Gun Kelly cover) which led to more crowd favorites for the encore, Lowlife, Loner and Machine Gun (F**k the NRA).

Yungblud has built an army. He see's himself as one of his fans they they see themselves in him. He speaks freely, caringly and offers advice letting each and every person know they are loved, important and they can do whatever they set their mind to. He himself admittedly, says, when he was younger he had no clue what he would do with his life until he found music.

Yungblud not only found music but music found him and he is more than willing share his music, passion and energy on the stage each and every night.

Yungblud on his new single Lowlife, “I wrote ‘Lowlife’ because I just didn’t want to leave my house. I was sick of people, of games, of myself, my friends, anytime I did anything some idiot had an opinion about it. What I should do or be. The truth is I didn't want to be anything at all sometimes, I wanted to be nothing. So I just didn't leave bed. I was dissatisfied and craving some sort of boredom. The type of boredom where you sit in your house, in the same sheets and watch fucking mind numbing TV, so I wrote a song about it.”
