Electro-Industrial Icons Lords of Acid Electrify Denver with New Frontwoman Carla Harvey
Electro-industrial rockers and masters of kink, Lords of Acid, brought their multi-genre spectacle to Denver on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, performing for an enthusiastic crowd at the historic Oriental Theater. With newly crowned Acid Queen Carla Harvey at the helm on vocals, fans were treated to a wild night of fan favorites and iconic hits, including “Pussy” and the unmistakable “I Sit on Acid".
Carla, best known as co-vocalist of heavy metal provocateurs Butcher Babies, brought a fierce energy to the stage—combining a sensual, edgy metal vibe with the band’s signature electronic sleaze. Her performance was not only a seamless fit musically but also elevated the band’s already expressive and theatrical live show.
Throughout the evening, it was easy to spot fans wearing both Butcher Babies and Lords of Acid shirts, signaling the band’s expanded appeal. This tour bridges the gap between LOA’s loyal electronic-industrial fanbase and Carla’s heavy metal following—some of whom may be experiencing the band live for the first time. This crossover, in the opinion of this writer, may make this the most exciting incarnation of Lords of Acid to date. The fusion of Carla’s gritty metal persona with the band’s pulsing, provocative dance tracks signals a bold new era.
The crowd—many clad in latex, leather, and mesh—danced and writhed to hard-hitting tracks like “Rough Sex” and “Scrood Bi U.” With founding member Praga Khan commanding the electronic soundscape and veteran bassist Dietrich Thrall driving the low end, the set throbbed with energy. Returning guitarist Creighton Emrick (formerly of Orgy, Diamante, and Little Miss Nasty) added rock flair and aggressive riffs that pushed the performance into overdrive.
Catch Lords of Acid on their “Praise the Lords” tour, currently traveling across the U.S., with electrifying support from burlesque-rock collective Little Miss Nasty. Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to the acid-filled ride, this is one tour you won’t want to miss.
