REVIEW & PHOTOS: SILVERSUN PICKUPS THE OGDEN THEATER IN DENVER, CO 2/14/2020

Roxann Rene for Sound Rebel Magazine recently attended Silversun Pickups show as they returned to The Ogden Theater Denver, Colorado with a sold out show on Valentine's Day night.

The band is currently touring in support of their new album, "Widow's Weeds." They were quick to kicked off the new music with their second song of the evening, the lead single from Widow's Weeds, "It Doesn't Matter Why."
Even from the photo pit, their signature haunting melodic sound could be heard resonating throughout the venue, and with the fans. Switching it up to a heavier tone by song four of the night, they played, "Panic Switch" another hit single, before slowing things back down with some of their more mellow songs.
They ended the night with a crowd favorite and Silversun Pickups classic, "Lazy Eye".
With an excellent blend of new music and all of their hit songs, the diverse crowd spanned almost all age groups. Whether it was Valentine's dates, friends or solo fans, no one left the venue disappointed. Widow's Weeds is available now on all music platforms including hard copy formats.

  1. The bass player was my neighbor when I lived in LA, she's super cool and I'm really happy the band is back out on the road and making music again!
